“I (Zach) proposed - one weekend in 2019, John participated in a 5k to support transplant patients and their loved ones in Baltimore. At the conclusion of the 5k, we had some spare time to kill so we wandered around Inner Harbor and wound up at AVAM, where we spent a decent amount of time. At some point in the museum something stirred in me, so I went to the gift shop, found a pair of matching rings, and dragged John to one of the closed exhibits with an overhead mural. I pointed upward which gave me enough time to get down on one knee and ask the million dollar question (he said yes, thankfully).”
